Initial Comments:
An unannounced recertification survey was conducted onsite March 28, 2022 - March 29, 2022, at UPMC Pinnacle Hospitals - Transplant Center by the Pennsylvania Department of Health - Division of Acute and Ambulatory Care at the request of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). It was determined that the facility was in compliance with Part 482 - Conditions of Participation for Hospital - Subpart E - Requirements for Specialty Hospital - 482.68 Special requirements for transplant centers.
The recertification survey included the following types of organ transplant programs:
AKO - Adult Kidney-only
